Larry "PAL" Alan Smith

May 07, 1952  -  May 11, 2024

Larry Alan Smith was born in Baltimore, MD, on May 7, 1952, the beloved son of the late Walter and Ada Smith, Larry attended Baltimore Public Schools, Larry graduated from Towson Sr. High.

Larry departed this life suddenly on May 11, 2024, at Park Manor Nursing Home in Texas.

Larry lived most of his life in Lutherville, MD, he then moved to live in Texas with his sister Bessie and her late husband Walter.

Larry loved hanging out with his family and friends,  he also had a deep love for his large fish tanks and fish.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Ada Smith, two brothers Walter Jr. and Brian and leaves to mourn: His beloved children Dawn and Brandon, mother of his children Barbara, four grandchildren Andrew, Brian,  Brandon Jr., and Justin, three great-grandchildren Cameron, Isaiah, and Addison, seven siblings Bessie, Martin, Warren, Stephanie, Jeff, Carol, and Kim, and a host of relatives and friends.

Dear, DAD

Even though we didn't see each other often enough, you were always there to listen and talk.  Deep in our hearts you'll always stay loved and missed everyday.

We love you Dad your children

I Am Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free;

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call;

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

to laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone will stay that way;

I found that peace at close of day.

If my parting has left a void,

then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;

Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your hearts and share with me;

God wanted me now, He set me free.
