Larry Bruce Boyd of Cypress, Texas passed away on February 15, 2018 at the age of 63 with his two daughters and wife at his side.

Larry, or "Poncho," was born in Stephenville, Texas on July 15, 1954. However, he spent much of his childhood in Jasper, Texas where he made countless lifelong friendships. He joined ROTC while simultaneously graduating with his Bachelors degree from Abilene Christian University. He proudly served his country for 25 years before retiring as a Major in the United States Army. He had numerous business ventures along the way, fueling his entrepreneurial spirit. Larry was never short on ideas and innovative approaches to life's challenge, which provided endless intrigue and entertainment for his family and friends throughout the years.

To know Larry was to be engulfed in his contagious spirit fueled by equal parts charisma and endearment. One would seldom leave an interaction with him without at least shaking their head of disbelief or laughing. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met  and his family has been flooded with stories of his impact on people throughout his life.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Rex & Lavonna Boyd. He is survived by his wife Cathy of 36 years as well as his daughters and son-in-laws Ashley & Todd Teague (children Gunnar & Collins) and Kelly & John Percic. He loved his son in laws as fiercely as he loved his daughters and grandchildren. He deeply loved his nieces and nephews as well as his brothers Rick & Stacey, sister Beth, step mother Betty and several in laws.
