Obituary

Larry was born October 28, 1943, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Richard and Dorothy (Blackford) Love. He spent his younger years in Salem Illinois. His Father worked for Texaco so in Larry's teenage years he drove trucks in the oil fields for Texaco. He went onto college and received his Associates Degree and lacked one year for his Bachelors. While in college he worked and ran the cafeteria and during the summer he led a Boy Scout's Camp.

At the age of 19 he married Sue Hammond in Tulsa OK. Together they had four children. Kevin, Rick, Shawna and Christie. During this time is when he began his career in the food and beverage industry as well as managing Hotels.

In 1981 he met his soul mate, Sonja (Middleton) Love. They married in 1991 in Sugar Land, Texas. He became the step-dad to her two children, Michael and Teresa.

Larry worked in Sales in the food industry until his retirement in January 2018. He enjoyed cooking (much to the benefit of his family), he liked woodworking, and he loved working in the yard. He very much enjoyed planting flowers, rose bushes, and a variety of plants. He made sure that he had several assorted rose bushes and once they bloomed he always had fresh cut roses on the table for Sonja. He was an avid volunteer for the Tomball German Festival, Board member of Sister City International of Tomball, and a big supporter of the community. He was a people person and never met a stranger. He never turned down anyone that was in need of help.

Larry loved his Wife, his children, the grandchildren and his family. He also had a very special place in his heart for his dogs. They along with many others will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request consideration of a donation to The American Cancer Society or Montgomery County Animal Shelter be made in his name.
