Larry Dan Hollingsworth's Obituary
Larry Dan Hollingsworth, or Papa as his grandkids called him, died at the age of 61 surrounded by his family at St. Luke's hospital on Dec. 21, 2016.
Born September 16, 1955 in Gadsden, Alabama, Dan was raised by LD and Mindelle Hollingsworth. In Alabama he worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad and after moving to Texas he worked over 30 years for Holes Incorporated. An avid hunter and fisherman, Dan was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Dan married the love of his life, Susan Hollingsworth, on July 20 th , 1985. They have been married for 31 years and retired on Lake Conroe together. He was a loving father to his four daughters Darlene East, Kimberly Major, Kellie Vazquez and Angela Hollingsworth, who he loved wholeheartedly. He loved having all of his grandchildren visit the house on weekends and holidays where he would take them on tractor and boat rides.Dan is survived by his spouse, Susan; his children, Darlene and her husband Greg, Kim, Kellie and Angela; and his grandchildren, Josh Calvert, Samantha Aitken, Sarah Aitken, Gregory East, Sarah East, Rebecca East, Susana Vazquez, Sofia Vazquez, Noah Clawson, Briana Kimball, Brayden Kimball, Cayden Kimball and Narayan Gohokar, his brothers Steve and Tim, and his father LD.
Dan's service will be held at Klein Funeral Home on Friday December 30 th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers we ask you make a donation to support Transplants at CHI St. Luke's Hospital in memory of Larry Dan Hollingsworth.
