LaNell was born on May 1, 1932, in Winnsboro, TX, to Rev. Robert E. L. Dacus & Eula Dacus. LaNell passed away on June 28, 2022 at the age of 90.

LaNell fell in love with & married Travis F. Combs on February 19, 1949. They had 2 children, Travis & Pam. After 51 years of Marriage LaNell was widowed in 2000.

In 2001 LaNell met & fell in love with James Benge. They married on July 28 of that year. Jim had 4 grown daughters at the time, Cheri, Cyndi, Pam and Lisa.

Grammy's faith, trust and love of God has sustained her throughout her life and has led her family by being a shining example of Christian love. She will be missed.

LaNell is survived by her husband of 21 years, Jim Benge. Her son, Travis Combs and wife Verna. Her daughter, Pam Rundgren, and husband Jerry. Grandchildren – Heather Combs, Travis Jr. and Dana Combs, Cheryl and Stephen Dunn, Ryan and Heidi Rundgren, Stephanie and Jason Ryan, and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her adopted family – Cheri Jones and husband Scott, Cyndi Schulken and husband Rod, Pam Mathews and husband Ron, Lisa Michalk and husband Dan, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

LaNell was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. R.E. L. Dacus, husband Travis F. Combs, grandson James R. Combs, great grandson Payton Combs and great granddaughter Elizabeth Jones
