LaDonna Joyce Yancy

LaDonna Joyce Yancy was born on May 11, 1933, in Donna, Texas. She went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2026, in Pinehurst, Texas. Ladonna was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Helen Hansen of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sister Helen Marie of Manvel, North Dakota; and beloved husband Jerry Yancy of 43 years of marriage of Pinehurst, Texas.

LaDonna is survived by her sister and best friend Charla May; her loving sons Larry and James Yancy; daughter-in-law Dympthia Yancy; grandchildren Nolan, Jonathan Yancy, and Heather Henning

LaDonna attended University of Texas Pan American where she earned a degree in education. She devoted 36 years of teaching as a schoolteacher. She was dedicated to her students and took pride in her career and the lives she touched through teaching

Known for her loving, warm and thoughtful nature. LaDonna enjoyed gardening, building puzzles, playing card games, sewing, watching game shows, and family vacations to the hill country.

LaDonna was the center point of her family, bringing everyone together and creating lasting family traditions. She hosted Thanksgiving for many years, making her home a place where family gathered and memories were made. She was strong in her Christian faith and a devoted member of River of Praise Church for 42 years.

Her love, faith, family traditions, and memories will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and loved ones.
