Kyle Louis Reese, 71, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025 with his family at his side. Born on April 15, 1954, in Houston to Howard and Lucille Reese, Kyle lived a full and meaningful life rooted in family, duty, and the simple joys of the outdoors.

Kyle proudly served the citizens of Houston as a firefighter for 35 years, rising through the ranks to retire as District Chief with the Houston Fire Department. His courage, leadership, and calm under pressure touched countless lives—both those he pulled from danger and the many brothers and sisters in the department he mentored along the way.  Additionally, he built a successful business from the ground up and was a hardworking, self-made man.  He was a devoted father and will be deeply missed by his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Lucille Reese, and his brother, Eric Reese. Kyle is survived by his devoted sisters, Margaret Walker and Toni Trevino; his son, Gage Reese; his daughters, Jennifer Royall and husband, James Royall; Wendy McFarland and husband, Kevin McFarland; and his cherished grandchildren, Rose Royall, Jack Royall, and Olivia McFarland.

An avid outdoorsman, he was rarely happier than when teeing off with friends, fishing and hunting.  He enjoyed cheering on his beloved Astros and sharing laughs with the people he loved most.  Kyle was the life of every party, wherever he was - that's where everyone wanted to be!  He was an avid reader with an impeccable memory, leaving most to marvel at his expansive knowledge of just about any subject.  Friends and family alike would seek his advice regularly which he was always happy to give upon request.  He was generous to a fault and never turned down an opportunity to contribute to the causes of others.  Kyle's faith in Jesus remained steadfast throughout his life; Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

A memorial service to celebrate Kyle's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main St, Tomball, TX 77375. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
