Koy Duran Domann was born in Texas on June 25, 1974, and he left to be with his Lord and Savior on August 11, 2022.

Koy grew up a Tomball native and graduated from Tomball High School.  After graduation, he attended college and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a fine arts degree in theatre.

He married his wife, Marsha, on October 9, 2004. They embarked on many travel adventures together, worked together building a speech team, and led their small group Bible study each month.

For twenty years Koy worked in the financial services industry, pursuing further education at Rice University (2004) and The University of Alabama (2020). Koy loved his career as a financial planning advisor; his clients and their families were very important to him.

His love of theatre remained strong. He directed many one-act plays, served as a UIL one-act play adjudicator, and coached students in acting. He was awarded for his work with high school students in 2017 as the TAPPS Fine Arts Teacher of the Year.

Koy was also an avid hunter. His favorite time of the year was the fall because he could dove hunt and watch college football. He loved whitewater rafting, taking his nieces shopping, and helping Marsha's family at harvest time.

He was an active member of his lifelong church, Salem Lutheran, where he led Bible studies, participated in church dramas, and visited shut-ins. He was also very involved with the ministry at Camp Lone Star in La Grange, where he served as a camp counselor as a young adult and then served as a staff member and board member later in life.

Koy is survived by his loving wife, Marsha and his mother, Irene; he is survived by his brothers, Ty Domann and Shay Domann and wife Leigh; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Angie Wiese; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jill and Brian Hiebert and Diane and David Beikmann; nieces Ryleigh Domann, Claire Beikmann, Camryn Beikmann, and Cadence Beikmann and a nephew, Beau Domann. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and former students. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles (Butch) Domann.

In lieu of flowers, Koy's family requests that donations be made in his honor to Camp Lone Star (Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Texas) or Salem Lutheran Church's Share Fund.
