Kline Irvine was born in Lampasas, TX. He was the only child of Clarence and Letha Irvine, who preceded him in death. His family moved quite a bit around west and central Texas as he was growing up. He completed high school in Hamlin, TX in 1958 and entered Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. After graduating with a Chemical Engineering degree in 1962, he began working at Factory Mutual Insurance Company in St. Louis, Missouri immediately. As a Loss Prevention Engineer, he worked for that company until offered early retirement in 1998. He accepted that offer and began volunteering by delivering Meals on Wheels. He began delivering meals once a month and eventually was delivering out of one of the offices of Meals on Wheels at Northwest Assistance Ministries Monday through Friday for over 20 years until the disease forced retirement from that. He also did contract loss prevention work for two small companies for the first few years of retirement from Factory Mutual. His other volunteer activity was doing loss prevention work for Tomball Fire Department for 10 years.

Kline died on November 26 in Avalon Memory Care, a result of Alzheimer's Dementia. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kay, two sons, Kyle and Kurt (wife Sonya). Also surviving are grandchildren, Victoria Irvine, Adam Irvine, Trinity Abrams, Wesley Abrams, Daeja Abrams, and Evelyn Arzola, and great-granddaughter, Ophelia Wright. He has one surviving aunt, Bobbie Carroll. Also surviving are his cousins-in-law, Nancy Smith, Stacie, Pat and Margot O'Brien; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Jackie Killion; nephew, Cody (wife Samantha) Killion; and great niece Haylee Killion and great nephew, Wylie Killion.

Kline lived a life of believing that we are all here to serve others as Jesus would have us to do. He loved to travel. He and Kay were blessed to be able to take 23 different trips to all areas of the globe. His favorite reading was any kind of history – particularly relating to Civil War, WWI & WWII. He also liked to read true biographies. His main hobby was yard work – the man loved mowing!

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any of the following: Meals on Wheels at Northwest Assistance Ministries, Lakewood Methodist Church, or Bayou City Hospice.

The family appreciates the love and support from all the friends over the years that Kline was ill.
