Kim Beloate Rainey

Kim Beloate Rainey went to be with her lord and savior November 12, 2017 at the age of 64 in Houston, Texas.

Daughter of William Eugene and Nettie Ruth Beloate, Kim was born on December 31, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas. At the age of 2, the family made the long move to Anchorage, Alaska where Kim enjoyed a wonderful childhood in America's final wild west. The family moved back to Texas where Kim graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1971. She then obtained her bachelor's degree and master's of Education at the University of Houston where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Her daughters followed in her footsteps by joining the sisterhood of Delta Zeta at Texas A&M University.

Kim spent 23 years in education nurturing young minds and bodies through physical education. 15 of those years she taught at Jowell Elementary in the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District where her children attended. She made many lasting friendships with coworkers at Jowell and with those in the physical education department statewide. She immensely enjoyed attending the physical education conferences where she strengthened those bonds. Kim was a beloved coworker, mentor and teacher to all she came in contact with.

She shared her great love of travel with her children and instilled a passion for adventure. There are many fond memories of camping, trips to the river house and the family cabin in Lake City, Colorado . Later, that passion grew to include worldwide travel excursions to countries such as France, England, Italy, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, Austria, Canada, Mexico, the Virgin Islands, and many more. She loved to share her passion of travel with anyone that would come along.

As her children grew up, she always made the house open to all. She hosted weekly Monday Night Football parties, annual Super Bowl parties and any other excuse for a gathering of friends and loved ones. There was always a full house with a revolving door where she was called "Mom" by many.

She is survived by her mother Ruth Beloate, father Gene Beloate, and two sisters, Jan Lasher and Lisa Grimmett and husband John "Scooter" Grimmett of Fort Worth; children, Kajay Garman and husband Craig Garman, Colton Rainey and wife Christine Rainey, and Kayla Rainey and dog Tito Taco; grandchildren Tommy Garman, Brody Garman, and Bennett Rainey. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends that held a very special place in her heart.

Visitation will be held between 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, November 17th, 2017 at Klein Funeral Home 9719 Wortham Blvd Houston, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at the same location with the gravesite service to follow at Klein Memorial Park - Cy-Fair 14711 Cypress N. Houston Rd. Cypress, TX 77429. Any and all that knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
