Obituary

It was with great sadness that the family of Kim Cappi-Steele, 59, of Spring, announce her passing on July 15th, 2024.

Kim was born on January 20th, 1965 in Nashua, New Hampshire to her parents, William P. McKinley (deceased) and Cecile Yvette (Cote) McKinley. She graduated from Nashua High School and lived here before making Texas her home in 1998 with her children and their father John Cappi. Kim became a part of her community and enjoyed many years of participation in her children's school and extracurricular activities where she met her husband Tom Steele in 2010. She never met a stranger and her friend's became her family and their children were like her own. Kim will be remembered for her loyalty, humor and sarcasm. Her smile and laugh was contagious and will never be forgotten. She could make anyone feel comfortable, cared for and seen. It was her compassion and caring nature for others, that led her to a career of nursing, where she not only achieved becoming a registered nurse, but pursued a path in Hospice care that came so natural to her. Her fierce loyalty and love for her family and her friends was such a part of who she was and so important to her. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Kim loved to read, dance, travel, wine tasting and attempt to camp and enjoyed karaoke. Her greatest joy was spending time with her precious granddaughter.

Kim is survived by her mother Cecile Yvette McKinley, her brother Leo Robert McKinley & his wife Sally Lou McKinley and their daughter Megan Ellis: her Husband Tom William Steele; her children Alexander John Cappi & other half Ylana Gonzales who graced Kim with her first grandchild Rory Lynn Cappi, Olivia Hana Cappi & her fiancé Houston Todd White and Sage Cecile Cappi; along with her children of her heart, Dylan Matthew Steele & his wife Becca Steele, Garrett Vela & his fiancé Emilie Grecula and Brenna Paige Steele & her fiancé Thomas Morgan.

Funeral Arrangements will be held Monday, July 22nd, 2024, with visiting hours at 9 AM followed by service at 10 AM at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive Spring, TX 77379. Concluding with a Celebration of Life at the Cypresswood Subdivision Clubhouse, 3705 Cypresswood Drive Spring, TX 77388.
