Obituary

Kevin J Burns, of Spring, passed away at his home on June 30, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 40 long years Joy, his son Joe (Stephanie), grandson Izac, dad Bobbie and brother David
Originally from Tampa and a 1973 graduate of King High School, Kevin married Joy in 1975 and they began their life together. Kevin joined the Army in 1979 and, together, they were stationed across the country and abroad: Colorado, Hawaii, and Germany. Once he left the Army, they stayed in Hawaii and Kevin worked for the Hawaiian Flower Company as Warehouse Foreman. Kevin and Joy relocated to Houston where he worked first for the Toll Road Authority then for Metropolitan Transit for 15 years as an Electronics Foreman.
He loved to ride his motorcycle in the Texas Hill Country and throughout various areas in the United States including Sturgis & Bike Week in Daytona, enjoy an extra large Dairy Queen Blizzard ice cream at a moments notice and buy EVERY gadget ever made, usually from Amazon.com (free two-day delivery with Amazon Prime).
He had a dry sense of humor that snuck up on you when you weren't expecting it, usually some joke as warped as he was. His last few years were spent battling Multiple System Atrophy – even through the pain; the smiles, the laughter, and the truly terrible jokes remained.
We will miss him dearly every day, but especially any time an Amazon box is delivered.
Love you Kevin!
