On April 25th, 2026, Kerhyl Elizabeth Lehman passed away from septic shock as a complication with her year long fight against  Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. We lost a beautiful soul and an adventurous spirit.

Kerhyl was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on June 9th, 1999. After a handful of years she moved to Eagle River, Alaska where she lived the majority of her formative years. Kerhyl fell in love with every aspect of stories; from reading, to writing, and acting.  She constantly had her nose in a book or was onstage in a play where she made many lifetime friends that she considered family.

Kerhyl was an amazing student and scholar.  Her love of learning was second only to her love of books. During high school, she attended the Honeywell Leadership Challenge Academy (space camp) where she received the Inspiration Award. The part of Kerhyl's nature to help, encourage, and listen others often had a positive impact on the lives of those who knew her.

After graduating from Eagle River High School in 2017, she attended the University of Alabama, Huntsville, class of 2022. Kerhyl's college experience included relationships that would last her lifetime. She dealt with more challenges than the average student teaching her to advocate for herself with the reward of a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Kerhyl's professional career encompassed just two jobs. The first at FMS Aerospace, Huntsville, AL, and the second at Lockheed Martin, Fort Worth, TX.  Kerhyl loved working with airplanes. She was excited to share her knowledge and fulfill her potential in her chosen field.

She was a kind, compassionate, strong, independent woman.  She often said she lived a thousand lives due to the amount she read, but we believe she lived a thousand lives because of the people she impacted and will continue to do so as her memories live on. Kerhyl is survived by her mother Linda Lehman, father Christopher Lehman, brother Alexander Lehman, two fur babies, grandmothers, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that she loved wholeheartedly.
