Kent Washburn
(October 23, 1976 – March 12, 2022)
Jonathan "Kent" Washburn passed away on March 12, 2022. Kent was a much loved son, brother, uncle, care giver, and friend.
Kent was born in Palm Beach Gardens, FL but moved to Houston by the time he was two months old. He loved living in Houston.
Kent graduated from Cypress Falls High School in 1995. He trained and worked as a computer operating system technician before finding his true calling as a Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector. He worked on offshore oil field equipment at Dril-Quip and various machine shops.
Kent loved being an uncle and picking out gifts for his nephew and niece. This was a highlight of his life. He was the ultimate sports fan and followed everything from Formula One, soccer, WWE, the Longhorns, and everything Houston. He attended many Texan, Astro, and Rocket games.
Kent is survived by his parents Eileen and Thomas Washburn, brother Craig Washburn (Austin), sister-in-law Jessica Krakoski (Austin), nephew Alec Washburn (Austin), niece June Washburn (Austin), and various aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceeded in death by grand parents Elizabeth and John Washburn, and Opal, Evelyn and John Archibald.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
