Kent Lewis Raulston

Kent Lewis Raulston, 36, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on June 6, 2026.

Kent was born on October 7, 1989, in Houston, Texas, to Debra Kent Haas.

Kent is survived by his sister, Meghan Raulston; his brother, Dakota Patrick; his stepfather, Brian Haas; and his nephew, Donovan Jones. He was also dearly loved by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Kent Haas.

A burial service with Military Honors will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. Rev. Mark Warpmaeker will officiate.

Kent spent most of his life in the Houston area and graduated from Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas. He enjoyed football, digital gaming, Magic: The Gathering, and spending time with his friends. A free spirit with a quiet nature, Kent was known for his contagious smile and the hearty laugh that emerged whenever something struck his funny bone. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help someone in need. Above all, Kent lived life on his own terms.

A few months after graduating from high school, Kent enlisted in the United States Army as an Infantryman. During his nearly nine years of honorable service, he was stationed in Georgia, New York, Texas, and Hawaii, and completed a nearly year-long deployment to Afghanistan. Beginning his military career as a Private, he earned the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge.

Kent will be remembered for his kind heart, loyal friendships, quiet strength, and the smile that could brighten a room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
