Kenneth was born on January 19, 1934 to Frederick Wilhelm and Alvena Piepenbrink Fischer in Lockwood, MO. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1952 and married Jane Louise Hays on April 19, 1953 at Faith Lutheran Church.

He owned and operated AAA Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Inc. in Joplin for 40 years and was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He and Jane are current members of St. John Lutheran Church in Cypress, TX.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Jane, of 63 years, his children Ron (Diann), Dan (Cathy), Jeff (Debi) and Deanne (Donnie) Thayer, his 9 grandchildren Ashley, Aaron, Bryan, Lindsey, Andrew, Liz, Matthew, Emily and Ben, his great grandson, Wyatt, aunts Eunice and Betty Piepenbrink, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Alvena, his brother Elmo and his sister Vera Ruth Kilpatrick. His funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cypress, Texas at 10:00am on Monday, June 13, 2016.
