Kenneth Wayne Chasteen was born the 12th of twelve children on January 24th, 1935 in his parents' home in Grapevine, Texas. He had career successes in reporting, editing and publishing; in transportation, construction and public relations; as well as advertising, corporate communications, direct sales, and sales management. These enterprises allowed him to travel extensively for both business and recreation. He would proudly describe himself as a wanderer, living in 15 different cities, 4 different states, and driving the highways of all 50 of the United States. He also toured 30 nations in North and Central America, Europe, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. An avid cruiser, hunter, fisherman, sports fan, and philosopher, he chronicled his exploits in his own self-published autobiography. He will reunite in Heaven with TJ, his wife of 36 years. He leaves behind 3 biological daughters, 3 Colorado kids-in-love, 37 grandchildren, and at last count 23 great-grandchildren who will all miss him greatly.

In His Own Words
I'm actually looking forward to that final move! The best thing about getting old is that it is not a permanent condition.
I picked up my ticket for that last move at the age of 12 from Pastor Allison, the Sky-Pilot at the Pleasant Run First Baptist Church, so I know my reservation is made and the ticket paid.
However, I have also picked up a lot of baggage since I was 12 and have carried that baggage down a lot of bad roads before being able to turn around and get back on the right one. I am sure glad that The One who paid for my ticket has a forgive and forget nature.
It sure is good to know that, when my flight is called, none of that baggage will go with me.
I just hope I get to hang around the "Gates" long enough to greet ALL my loved ones
