Kay Clegg's Obituary
It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful, strong and amazing mother, Kay Lucienne Bell Clegg at the young age of 75. Lucy passed away in her home of 44 years on December 8, 2019 surrounded by her sons after a long and difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. This terrible illness is not what defined her in the end, she maintained a positive mindset and fought with grace and tremendous courage until the very end.
Lucy's life story and accomplishments are that of love, beauty, sacrifice and fulfillment. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend to so many. Her laughter was contagious and her presence warmly welcomed wherever she went. Her family always came first no matter what. She always gave more than she received, because that is what she wanted.
Her greatest joys outside of her family were a love for animals, anything and everything to do with Paris and French culture, cruising the high seas, light houses, gardening and reading scores of books.
Lucy is preceded in death by her son, Glenn Cravey, of Spring, Texas, sister, Pat Long, of Weeki Wachee, Florida, mother, Mary Bell and father, Sanford Bell, both of Lakeland, Florida.
Lucy is survived by her sons, Ryan Cravey and Matthew Clegg, both of The Woodlands, Texas, two daughters-in-law, Alison Cravey and Angela Clegg, daughters, Kim Baker, of Enterprise, Alabama, and Donna Pendrey, of East Sussex, United Kingdom, sons-in-law, John Baker and Martin Pendrey, grandchildren, Tyler Cravey, Kaylee Cravey, Parker Cravey, Benjamin Cravey, Kendall Clegg, Sophie Clegg, Brad Baker, Chris Baker, Mitchell Baker and Robert Baker.
A private celebration of life will be held in The Woodlands on the afternoon of January 18. Please keep Lucy and our family in your prayers during this difficult time. We loved her dearly and her earthly presence will be forever missed.
