With great sadness, we announce the passing of Kathrine Newman Boles, age 92, on May 29, 2026.
Kathrine was born on January 7, 1934, in Anona, Texas, Red River County, to William Thomas Newman and Alice Rose Evans Newman. She graduated from Talco High School in 1951 and married Jerrel Drummond. Together they had three children: daughter Donna Kay, and sons Jerrel Wayne and Jeffery Alan. Later they divorced.

On March 26, 1994, she married Sam Boles, with whom she shared many years until his passing on May 5, 2013.
Kathrine was a devoted member of Arlam Baptist Church in Garrison, Texas, Rusk County, for many years. After moving to Houston in 2021, she became a member of Westway Baptist Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she shared her strong beliefs with everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, Kathrine was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Nowlan Boles, and her youngest son, Jeffery Drummond.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Martin; her son and daughter-in-law, Jerrel and Laura Drummond; and her grandchildren, Danny Walker, Kyna Hernandez, Amy Martin, Jennifer Drummond, Franklin Drummond, and Justin Drummond. She was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her siblings, Christine Phifer, Taylor Newman, and Janie Ginn.
This is not Goodbye for goodbyes are not forever. It simply means we will miss you until we meet again!!!!
