Obituary

Kathleen Theresa Valenziano was born on January 3, 1963, and passed away on March 31, 2025.
Kathleen was born and raised in uptown New Orleans, attended Ben Franklin High School, and she worked in the banking industry for 10 years.

Kathleen married Rob on September 15, 1984 and moved to Slidell, LA, and they lived in Slidell in Eden Isles for 22 years. From 1991 to 2007 she took great care of their daughter Katie. Katie was a child with special needs with severe disabilities.
Kathleen and her friend, Bonnie Spencer Prince, provided guidance and support for new mothers starting their special needs journey. The two would have the new mothers to their homes for meetings and guidance. Each new mother had their phone numbers and were available 24/7 to help mothers having a "bad day". In the life of special needs mothers "bad days" were not an uncommon event.

In 2005 after Katrina she and Rob moved to Magnolia, TX and lived there until June 2023 when they moved to Fairhope, AL.
Kathleen loved her family very much and was a wonderful wife and mother. Kathleen loved to cook and garden, and missed both activities after she got sick. She was a great care giver as evidenced by the care she gave her daughter Katie. After Katie's passing, she helped take care of her Mother and Father-in-law.

Kathleen will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Grace Valenziano "Katie Boo", and her father, Silas Cunningham.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Rob Valenziano; her son, John Valenziano; mother, Gaynell Cunningham; brother, Silas Cunningham; sister, Elsbeth Cunningham; Clint Cadenhead; and by many aunts and uncles.
A memorial service for Kathleen will be held at 10am on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the Klein Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, TX 77375.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the St. Tammany Association for Retarded Citizens (STARC).
