Kathleen Shannon Story
Kathleen Shannon Story, age 59, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, after a long courageous fight with Alzheimer's. Kathleen was born on February 27, 1962 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Soon after, she moved to Port Neches, Texas. After both parents died when she was very young, Kathleen, along with her brother Charlie, moved to Gouverneur, New York, to live with family. Kathleen graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1980. After graduating, she moved back to Texas. She lived in Houston, Texas, where she met her loving husband, Howard Story Jr. Kathleen and Howard were married on November 6, 1982, and enjoyed 39 years of a loving relationship. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Howard III, and Shannon. Kathleen later attended college, and received a BA in Accounting, from Sam Houston State University, in 1993. She worked many years as a Senior Cost Accountant, in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Blackwell Shannon, and her father, Fred E. Shannon.
She is survived by her adoring husband, Howard Thomas Story Jr.; her brother, Charlie Shannon, and wife Julie; her son, Howard Thomas Story III, and wife Dianne; her daughter, Shannon Marcelle Hull, and husband, Jeremiah.
Kathleen (Gee), also has four fantastic grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; Brylee Anne Hull, Joshua William Hull, Charlee Joleen Hull, and Emma Kim Story; numerous sisters-in-law's, brother-in-law's, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kathy was very involved in her kid's activities, such as soccer, baseball, football, ice skating, boy scout leader, girl scouts, and ROTC. She also gave blood as often as she could, giving gallons over the years! She loved helping others, especially as a caregiver for family members. Kathleen was a special and loving person, with a good sense of humor, and will be missed greatly!
