Kathleen R. "Kathy" King (née Faust), 77, passed away on March 17, 2025, in Conroe, Texas. Born on April 26, 1947, in Columbia, Mississippi, Kathy lived a life filled with love, faith, and joy.
Kathy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Alabama, followed by a 27 year career as an Executive Administrator in the Oil & Gas Industry. Kathy's life was a shining example of how one person's dedication to serving and caring for others can create ripples of positivity and change. She always shared warmth and kindness, leaving last impressions with everyone she met. Her ever-present smile was a reflection of the joy she found in life and the deep love she had for her family.
Kathy was a devoted wife to Larry King, whom she cherished as the love of her life. She adored her daughter, Lauren Melissa Briker, and son-in-law, Mark Briker. Her grandsons, Brayden Briker and Eli Briker, were the light of her life—she loved them more than anything else. Kathy also shared a close relationship with her sister, Julie Fessler, and brother-in-law, Dave Fessler. She was a beloved aunt to Rebecca Fessler and Joel Fessler.
A woman of deep faith, Kathy was a devout Christian who prayed multiple times daily. As a member of the United Methodist Church, she found strength and guidance in her beliefs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas D. Faust Jr. and Louise C. Faust.
Family and friends are invited to honor Kathy's memory at Klein Funeral Home (CyFair -Northwest) in Houston, Texas. A visitation will be held on March 23, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Klein Memorial Park in Cypress, Texas. The Briker Family will be hosting a reception at their home in Cypress immediately following.
Kathy's legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
