Kathleen Louise King Mitchell passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Born to Edward E. King and Dollie Louise Chambers King on July 27, 1943, Kathleen had a life-long love for reading and writing. She excelled in her college studies with a Bachelor and Master degree in English at Texas Christian University. Kathleen spent her professional life as an educator with an emphasis in special education.

She is survived by her three daughters, Melissa Mallon, Laura Mallon Romere, and Julie Hogan, and her grandchildren, Christopher Pritchard, Jennifer Pritchard, Kaycie Romere, Jameson Mallon-Echols, Mario Gil IV, Zhenndaya Hogan, and Marco Hogan.

Kathleen was a kind, sweet person, who loved animals and reading. She was loved and cherished, and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Kathleen Mitchell.
