Kathleen Mossop, aged 49, died during emergency open heart surgery on December 18, 2017.
Kathy (or Granny) was born September 29, 1968 in Woodbury, NJ, the daughter of Ana Mae Hunt and Milton Leon Hunt.
Kathy enjoyed dancing at a young age. She fell in love at 14 and had her first child at 15. She later married her love, Donald Mossop, and completed her family with 2 additional children. She moved to Texas shortly after to raise her children in Spring.
In addition to raising her 3 children, she worked numerous jobs and went to school to be in the nursing profession. She later reached her dream by becoming a teacher and caring for the disabled.
In her spare time Granny loved to spend her time with her family, but mostly her 10 grandchildren. To everyone she knew, she left her imprint as a caring and vibrant person. She will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her 3 children, Stephanie Crawford, Donald Mossop, and Cierra Mossop, and their families: Mathew Crawford, Emily Fay, Kaden Fay, Jessi Brown, Taylor Smith, Anthony Hessling, Caitlyn Hessling, Edwin Escobar, Alyssa Escobar, Deserae Escobar, Christopher Escobar, Laela Escobar, and Izabella Escobar. Her sister Georgia Hallam, brother in law Anthony Hallam, her niece Patricia Richey. Her brother David Hunt, her niece Crystal Verdinelli and siblings.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Anna Mae Hunt, father Leon Hunt, brother Fred Hunt, and her sister Agnes Izzie.
