Kathleen Ellen (Johnson) LeBouef died on February 20, 2020 at the age of 61 after a brief but intense illness. Kathy is survived by her husband of 24 years, Lynn LeBouef, as well as her two daughters and their families: Kristin and Brian Poole and children Adam, Paige and Emily; Kelly and Jeffrey McWhorter and children Ellie, Clara, Avery, Nathan and Travis. She is also survived by her stepchildren and their families: Paul and Angie LeBouef and children Carsyn, James and Matthew; Joni and Tim Holt and children Madison and Blake; Lance and Carly LeBouef and children Ella and Jude. In addition, she is survived by her siblings Lynda (Johnson) Huber, Steve Johnson, Jeff Johnson and David Johnson. She is preceded in death by her mother Janice (Kennedy) Johnson.

Kathy was born in Omaha, NE and attended college at Maryville University in St. Louis, MO where she received her associate's degree in respiratory therapy. After graduation she settled in Houston, TX and began her career as a respiratory therapist at Tomball Regional Hospital. Over the next 30 years, she progressed from clinical/bedside care to administration, ultimately as the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. While her employees appreciated Kathy's hardworking style and attention to detail, what they valued the most was how much she truly cared about each of her staff members. She retired in 2012. After a few years of enjoying the retirement lifestyle, she pursued certification in personal training. She started training clients in 2018 and found a great deal of satisfaction from working with them to achieve their fitness goals.

Her true passion, though, has always been her family. Her daughters, Kristin and Kelly, were the lights of her life, and she was deeply proud of the women they have become. Both Kristin and Kelly have loved working with Kathy on a variety of projects – everything from decorating their houses to making bedding for the babies to planning birthday parties. They truly treasured those times with their mom, who they referred to as a "master motivator." When her grandchildren were born, Mimi quickly became one of their favorites with her enthusiasm for life and unending love for them. She was always ready for adventures with them – swimming in the pool, having cousin time, doing crafts, having tea parties and playing games were just a few of their favorite things to do with her.

Kathy touched so many lives and will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held in the coming weeks.
