Karl George Maier

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Karl Maier, age 87, of Houston, Texas. Karl departed this life peacefully on May 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 15, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Karl lived a life marked by integrity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

He married the love of his life, Lois Maier, on April 16, 1960. Married for 65 wonderful years, they shared a bond that stood as a shining example of commitment and adoration to all who knew them.

Karl's professional journey included serving as Vice President of ConValve, a role he held with pride and distinction. In 1979, Karl relocated to Texas—a move that marked the beginning of a deeply rooted and fulfilling chapter of life for him and his family.

Karl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois; their two children, Karl K. Maier and his wife Laura, and Marian Richards and her husband William; four grandchildren, Rachel Richards, Ashley Jennis and her husband Christopher and their son William, Karl S. Maier, and Tinsley Maier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Eunice Maier.

Throughout his life, Karl found joy in life's simple pleasures—family gatherings, quiet evenings with Lois, lunches with his children, a good book, and keeping up with politics.

Whether through his work as a salesman and business owner or through his everyday kindness as a neighbor and friend, Karl touched many lives with his warmth, generosity, and quiet wisdom. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
