Karen Turney, 71, of Willis, passed away October 17, 2023. She was born December 6, 1951, in San Pedro, California to the late Bill and Diane Standridge.
Karen always wanted a big family that was close to each other. She was tough as nails and always put others first. She was known to help out her children's friends that were less fortunate and always fought for what she felt was right.
Karen was an avid tennis player and was playing tennis up until approximately 3 weeks before she passed. She loved her family, and her favorite time of the year was the holidays. Karen touched the lives of countless people and wanted people to celebrate her life. You could always count on her to give you some positive advice when you needed it the most.
She is survived by her children, Eric Tewes of Texas, Aimee Tewes of Texas, Chris Tewes of Texas, Steve Miles and Spouse Roxy Miles of Tennessee, Alanna May and Spouse Tim May of Missouri, Richard Turney and Spouse Loralea Turney of Texas, and Kara Turney of Texas; and grandchildren Landon Harmon, Logan Harmon, Victoria Harmon, Braelynn Hoskins, Brynnleigh Hoskins, Beck May, Piper May, Cody Broom, Hayden Broom, and Hannah Turney.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Diane Standridge.
The family will receive visitors 5-8pm Sun 10/22/2023 at Klein Funeral Homes – Champions 16131 Champion Forest Dr, Spring, TX 77379. Funeral Services will be 2pm Mon 10/23/2023 at Klein Funeral Homes – Champions 16131 Champion Forest Dr, Spring, TX 77379 with Rev Bob Hoskins. Interment to Following Chapel Service at 14711 Cypress North Houston Rd, Cypress, TX 77429 cemetery.
Serving pallbearers are Eric Tewes, Chris Tewes, Steve Miles, Richard Turney, Tim May, Landon Harmon, Logan Harmon, Beck May, and Cody Broom.
