Karen Broderick Sharpe passed away August 7, 2020 after a spirited battle with cancer. She was a fighter to the end. Karen was a special lady, loving and vivacious throughout her life. She would do anything for anyone. She raised two wonderful daughters who are reflections of herself and she was so proud of them.

Karen was born in Plantation, Florida and earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Florida and her Master's degree at the University of New Orleans. Deferring a career, she put her heart and soul into raising a family and caring for her two daughters. She was always busy volunteering at school and chauffeuring kids to and from cultural and sporting activities. Karen traveled the world with her family acting as travel guide, companion, mother and friend. She loved to cook and her home was always filled with friends and family gathered round. She was a good friend to all.

Karen started her own business which is thriving after 15 years. The family is so proud of all her accomplishments. She supported and carried her family through life's good and bad and she will be greatly missed. A big part of the family's heart has been torn away but it is slowly being filled with all the wonderful memories of her.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in her name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, www.ocrahope.org.
