Karen Sue (Burnett) Demos of Montgomery, Texas, passed away at the age of 81 on March 25, 2025. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Karen was born in Lansing, Michigan on February 17, 1944 to loving parents Donald and Agnes Burnett. She married Constantine (Con) S. Demos on November 12, 1966.

She began her career at Sears and moved to Oldsmobile corporation in Lansing, MI. After marriage she moved to St Louis, MO where she worked for McDonnell Douglas corporation, space and missile division. Upon moving back to Michigan she stayed at home to raise her three daughters. Eventually she settled in The Woodlands, Texas. After her children were grown, she was a dedicated preschool teacher for more than 25 years at the Early Learning Program (ELP) at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church, sharing the love of Jesus with countless children. Karen was devout to her Catholic faith and was known for her compassion and gentle nature. Her presence brightened the lives of those around her.

Karen loved her family dearly. Con and her enjoyed many years together supporting Michigan State University and even started a scholarship program for students. Karen adored spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Con, her children Donyle Demos, Demitria Ray and husband Jason, Deanna Blackwell and five grandchildren: David Blackwell, Daniel Blackwell, Aristosios Ray, Katinoula Ray and Ruby Clark; siblings Michael Burnett, Patricia Burnett and Prudy Burnett, along with numerous friends and extended family members who cherished her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Agnes Burnett, and brothers Bruce and Donny.

Karen's light will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched. She will be forever remembered and loved.

Donations can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Foundation in her name.

There will be no public viewing for Karen however a celebration of life will take place this summer and we will post more details when that time comes.
