On Monday, August 16th, 2021, Karen Beckman, loving mother, and sister, passed away at the age of 54.

Karen was born on November 3, 1966, in Woodbury, New Jersey to Patriciann, and Kenneth C. Sharretts Jr. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years raising her daughter Nicole. She eventually found her niche as a licensed insurance agent with Allstate/AAA, where she took much pride in helping people navigate the world of insurance.

Karen had a passion for the Houston rodeo, where she volunteered for many years. She loved the simple things in life such as tending her garden, or watching her cat's antics. She traveled as much as she could, and enjoyed adventures. She was also an avid Nascar fan and a collector of grandfather clocks. She was known for her love of animals, her kind heart, her beautiful smile, and her compassionate spirit.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother Patriciann, her father Kenneth, her uncle Craig Ketchum, her grandparents, Karen & Vincent Ketchum, and Kenneth & Eleanor Sharretts. She is survived by her daughter Nicole Beckman, her brother Kenneth Sharretts III, and her Uncle Vincent Ketchum.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 30th, 2021

at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church at the Chapel at 10:00 am.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the church.
