Karen Straub Arnold, 67, passed away in Tomball, Texas on May 19, 2018.  The largest water balloon fight in heaven has officially begun.

On April 21, 1951, in Houston, Texas the world was greeted by a kind-hearted, loving, mischievous, trouble-maker. She was the third of six children born to Anne and Charles Straub. A lifelong Houstonian, she spent her childhood reading, playing board games, riding tandem bikes, and swimming in the bayou. She will certainly be remembered for her outrageous sense of humor. When she attended St. Pius X High School, she was voted 'most comical'.  Today the world is a little less funny.

She was a fun-loving mother to her children, Rebecca and Nicholas, and adored spoiling her granddaughter, her Macey girl. A Texan through and through, she loved George Strait, Texas A&M football, Tex-Mex, Bluebonnets and four-letter words. She seriously enjoyed Dr. Pepper and chocolate, which was a joy to her employer and close friend of over 40 years, Dentist Dr. Reagan McKewen.

She is survived by her two children and their spouses: Rebecca & (John) Allbritton, Nicholas & (Lauren) Arnold; She was "Nana" to her granddaughter Macey Allbritton; brothers: Stephen (Diane) Straub and James (Susan) Straub; and sisters: Patricia (Terry) Defalco), Virginia (Lawson) McDowell and Martha (Paul) Lucas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Anne Lehde Straub and her father, Charles Eugene Straub; and a "host" of other relatives, according to ancestry.com .

A 'Celebration of Life' will be held at Klein Funeral Home Magnolia/Woodlands on Saturday, May 26th at 2 pm.

Karen would give you the shirt off her back. If you asked her for one shirt, she would give you her closet. After paying the bill for an elderly couple, Karen had said "I probably will die without a cent to my name, but quoting George Strait... 'I'm not here for a long time... I'm here for a good time!'"
