Kareem Anthony Atkins was a caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and Police officer.

Kareem was born June 4, 1991, in the Bronx, New York to Cecil Atkins and Celine Pemberton-Atkins.

Kareem was a loving, protective, funny, great dancer (or at least so he thought), outgoing and flashy guy. He took pride in his appearance and boy could he dress. You can guarantee a good time once Kareem was present at any family gatherings or events with friends.

Growing up Kareem always wanted to be a Police Officer and he also expressed his love for cars. After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue a career as a mechanic. He enrolled in Lincoln Technical Institute located in Queens, New York to pursue that dream. He graduated and journeyed through his career path by working at Victory Auto Shop for 1 year. Soon after, he decided he needed a change of atmosphere and moved to Houston, Texas for a fresh start.

While on this new journey and working different jobs, Kareem met his wife, Nadia who helped to encourage him to pursue his passion of becoming a police officer. He graduated from Houston Police Academy in 2018. His first police job was at College Station, and he later joined Harris County. Sadly, his end of watch came too soon.

He is survived by his wife Nadia Aweineh, his children Adalynn Atkins and Aiden Atkins, his parents Cecil Atkins and Celine Pemberton-Atkins, sister Shantelle Atkins, brother Michael Atkins, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends too numerous to name.
