Born on November 5, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, to Otis and Susan Sanders, Kaitlyn grew up in Canton and Round Rock before making her home in Houston after college.

Kaitlyn dedicated her life to helping others, earning a bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a master's degree in Special Education from the University of Houston. As a social worker at Texas Children's Hospital and a loyal friend, she was a compassionate listener and a steady source of support.

Kaitlyn and her sister, Emily, shared an unbreakable bond filled with love, laughter, and understanding. She was just as close to her cousins, Krislyn and Karlie, with whom she made countless treasured memories. Kaitlyn deeply cherished her beloved dog, Sasha. More than a pet, Sasha was her constant companion, always by her side-whether on long walks or curled up on the couch. That same love extended to her family, where she found joy in life's simple moments— relaxing by the pool, celebrating holidays, or traveling. Some of her fondest memories were on the beaches of Mexico and Florida, soaking in the sun and laughter with those she loved most.

She was both introspective and playful—deeply thoughtful yet quick to light up a room with her warmth and humor. Her piercing hazel eyes and infectious smile could brighten even the darkest days. Fiercely loyal, Kaitlyn treasured her relationships, and those lucky enough to know her were forever changed by her love and kindness.

Music was one of Kaitlyn's greatest joys. A devoted fan of Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, and more, she traveled far and wide for concerts, making lifelong friendships along the way. Whether at the Houston Rodeo, in London, or Toronto, live music was where she found happiness.

A true foodie, she loved exploring new restaurants with friends, sharing laughter over great meals. She was also passionate about sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. Sundays in the Sanders home were dedicated to Cowboys football, a family tradition she cherished. She and her dad shared a special love for baseball, attending Astros games—especially on dollar hot dog nights. When the Astros won the 2022 World Series on her 30th birthday, it felt like a victory just for her.

Kaitlyn's life was filled with love, adventure, and deep connections. While our hearts ache with her absence, we choose to celebrate the joy she brought into the world.
