Obituary

James William Stone, 86, was born on September 27, 1932 in Westfield, Texas and passed away on February 4, 219 in Houston, Texas.

J.W. "Jimbo" Stone was a faithful Christian man. As a young man he would lead singing and teach youth bible classes at church. In his early years he was devoted to helping his father work on their dairy. He was a hard worker and was always ready to help anyone in need. He built a business, Stone Refuse Services, which was a thriving success.

He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved his family dearly and got great pleasure from playing, swimming and hunting with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Family reunions were one of his favorite pastimes visiting with his Stone and Vick cousins. Despite his retirement, he continued always working hard and enjoyed sweeping leaves from the driveway and pulling sandburs.

His life left a wonderful impact on many and he will be greatly missed.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Dean Conley Stone and sons: James Edgar Stone, Eddie Gene Stone, Sr., Terry Wayne Stone and Ronnie Dean Stone.
