June Lavonne Reno Hamilton

1931– 2020

This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed. Her life was well lived and she was well loved! The Lord called her home in a peaceful manner with her girls by her side on Saturday, June 27, 2020, three days before her 89 ^th birthday.

June was preceeded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bob Hamilton; her daughter, Robbie Lynn Tipton; and son-in-law, Woodrow Tipton. Family was the pivotal essence of June's life. She was proud and honored to be the matriarch, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to our family. She has been a major presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

June is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Lauree (Brad) Williams and Shelley (Robert) Pace.  She was a proud grandmother to Kyle (Amanda) Williams, Lindsey (Jay) Richardson, Sarah (Kevin) Hassell, Kenny (Christi) Tipton, Bobby (Janice) Pace, Barrett (Tamra) Pace, and Beaux Pace. She cherished her role of great-grandmother to Brylee, Griffin, Caleb, Kennedy, Aubrey, Taylor, Lexi, Kora, Kason, Brayden, Landon, Easton and, soon to be born, Oliver.

June's relationship with Jesus Christ was at the forefront of her life. She wanted all to know God and to have that "Blessed Assurance" in Christ. Serving in her home church was always a part of her life no matter where that church home was. She and her husband Bob were founding members of Graceview Baptist Church in Tomball, Texas. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was on countless committees at her church.

June was also an avid Houston Astros fan. She went to every single Astros opening home game for the last 35 years as well as the opening game of the Astrodome in 1965. June was an educator for 40 plus years touching the lives of thousands of children.

A celebration service will be held in her honor July 5th at 3:00 p.m. at Graceview Baptist Church, 25510 TX 249 Tomball TX 77375.
