Julius Bantillo Figueroa was born in Bacolod City, Philippines on July 7, 1954. In 1983, he married Norma Nacional and was blessed with two sons, Jowi Han Solo and Luke. After Norma's untimely passing in September 2013, Julius was able to meet Nelly Floresca, they married in 2015 and spent their time traveling and performing their duties in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Julius and Norma's early married life consisted of being physically apart, as his work brought him to the Middle East. After that work contract ended, they spent most of their time in South Cembo, Makati, Philippines, and eventually, the family moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1989, where they were pioneering members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in that part of the world. The family then moved to the United States in December 1994, first living in Yonkers, then the Bronx in New York, and later on, in Houston, Texas.

Julius was a brilliant engineer and his work brought him to many corners of the globe. He spent time in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and eventually, the United States in New York. In 2008, he learned how to trade in the Foreign Exchange Market, becoming a mentor to many around the world. He eventually returned to his passion as an engineer in Houston, Texas.

During his years in the Church, he served as a Deacon and Head Deacon. His fervent desire to perform his duties was the most important thing in his life. Wherever he may be in the world, and whoever he is surrounded with, he strived to bring glory to the Almighty God, influencing those around him to be dedicated to their membership in the Church. Even when he was very ill, he was blessed to have the opportunity to be once again recommended to serve as a Podium Assistant.

Julius took care of his family by always prioritizing their needs. He taught his family to always trust in the Lord God, leading by example, and always sacrificed much for them. He was very blessed to have witnessed milestones in his children's lives, and for his eldest son, Solo, to be ordained as a minister.

In 2020, Julius was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He underwent various surgeries and chemotherapy until July 2021. This time was faced with much difficulty, but he emerged from that with good results. However, in the months after, the cancer returned, quickly and aggressively spreading throughout his body, leaving him very weak. On October 25, 2021, Julius passed on, in the presence of his loving family.

We will miss the wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend that Julius was. Though he may not be with us anymore, his life will continue to serve as an inspiration. He has finished his race victoriously, and can now rest, waiting to receive the promised reward of life everlasting.
