Obituary

Julie Copley Thomas, 60, passed away in Tomball, Texas on May 19, 2023.  After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she died unexpectedly from Pneumonia.

Julie was born on November 15, 1962, and grew up in Dallas where she attended Hockaday and Highland Park schools.  She was the oldest of three children, and her family adored her.  Her two little brothers looked up to her and thought she knew everything.

Julie was a selfless and loving family member who was always available to help anyone in need.  She was a guardian angel for her younger brother, Drew, who died just 8 months ago.  She was also devoted to the care of her mother-in-law for the last 6 years of Mrs. Thomas' life.  Julie modeled strength and love in all she did.  She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Julie loved animals and over the years provided a loving home to countless rescue cats and dogs.  Julie had a heart of gold, and particularly loved the children of the family.  She never forgot a birthday and always took time to choose just the right gift.

Julie is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Thomas, her father Ed Copley and wife Connie, brother Ward Copley and wife Cheri, Sister-in- law Dee Copley, niece Alex Franco (Tony and Parker), nieces Cassie and Lily Copley, nephews Edward, Owen, and Michael Copley, Aunt Patricia Copley,  Brother-in-law Greg Thomas and wife Debbie, and niece Katy Thomas-Salazar and family and niece Kristi Thomas, stepsister Kelly Givens and family, and stepbrother Zeke Patterson.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother Helen Fason Copley, her brother Drew Copley, paternal grandparents, Edward and Ethel Copley, maternal grandparents, Floyd and Gladys Fason, mother and father-in-law Minnie and Johnny Thomas.
