Julie Birck Meyer, 55, born on April 8, 1967 of Cypress, Texas went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 11, 2022.
Julie was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Northbrook, IL. She was baptized and confirmed at the Village Church in Northbrook, IL. She was an active member of the church and a member of two different bell choirs. Julie attended Glenbrook North High School, where she participated as a cheerleader and a member of Aquianas, a synchronized swim group. Upon graduation, she proudly attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her love for travel started early as she moved to Guam where she began her career as an educator. While in Guam, she acquired her Masters Degree from the University of Guam before moving to Texas in the late 90's. She continued to further her career by completing advanced certifications in administration while serving as an educator and counselor for more than 30 years.
While living in Texas, Julie met Mark Meyer and the two married on April 15, 2006. Upon the birth of their son, Major Meyer, Julie retired from education to focus on family, but she never stopped educating. She was constantly helping others around her but her true passion became helping Major with his education. She was deeply involved in Salem Lutheran School and Concordia Lutheran High School, spending countless hours volunteering and helping in any way she could. The love she had for helping others was unending and one of her highest callings. It was no secret, Julie had an overwhelming love for travel and always planning her family's next trip. She had a passion to see the world and was able to visit five continents in her lifetime. Throughout her journey's she made many lasting friendships and cherished each of them with her huge heart.
