Julie M. Prophater Hoffman, 39, of Houston, passed away October 4, 2020.  She was born May 14, 1981, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio to the late Richard R. Prophater and Linda Prophater Main.

Julie grew up in Hudson and Strongsville, Ohio and Cedarburg, Wisconsin. In 1992, the family moved to Katy, Texas where she Graduated in 1999 from Taylor High School.

She worked in Administration and Accounting for many years.  While working for Ryerson Steel Co. she was given the opportunity to work in the warehouse and fell in love with it.  She had an opportunity to move to Odessa, Texas with Ryerson.  Her boyfriend Beau went with her where she became the Operations Manager. She ran the warehouse, could run the machines to cut steel, operated the machines to move sheets of steel and pipes.  She even had a hot pink hardhat with her name on it.  She was so proud and loved her job and her boss.  While in Odessa Julie and Beau got engaged.  The company closed that location, so they moved back to Houston.

Julie and Beau got married in Conroe, Texas on October 11, 2015.  She was a gorgeous bride.

Julie loved her family, husband, her four dogs and friends.

She wrote beautiful poetry and collected Crosses and Angels. She had a passion for reading. She loved the holidays, dancing, any kind of crafts especially making jewelry and fixing broken jewelry for family and friends. Loved the outdoors and the mountains.

She was always there to help anyone in need.  Helping with fundraisers or celebrating someone's life.  She was a take charge kind of woman.

She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, and friend.  She was kind and generous.  Always there to listen and tell you everything will be okay.  She had a Heart of Gold.

Her smile, laugh, and sense of humor was contagious.  She was stubborn, strong spirited and very determined.  That, helped her get through some difficult times.

We are all blessed to have had her in our lives.  She was truly our gift from God.

Including her mother, she is survived by her, husband, Beau D. Hoffman; step-father, Stephen L. Main; sister, Heather A. Prophater; brother, Richard R. Prophater, Jr.; step-brothers, Michael Main, Lawrence Main, and Brandon Main; and Numerous Aunt's, Uncle's, and Cousins.
