On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, Julie Rhena Chestnut passed away in her home at the age of 58. She was a beloved wife of 36 years to her husband, Keith Chestnut, and his devoted caretaker for 22 years. She was also a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Julie was a woman of deep faith and a member of Westway Baptist Church. She worked as an audiologist and a teacher before becoming caretaker to her husband, and was always gifted in working with children. Julie was also a talented singer, an avid reader, and enjoyed solving puzzles of all kinds.

Julie was born on November 10, 1962, in Houston, Texas, to Mary Jean Pedersen and Dorsey Baskin, Sr., both of whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her step-father, Clifford Pedersen; father-in-law, James E. Chestnut; as well as a niece and a nephew.

Julie is survived by her husband, Keith; her daughter, Heather Kramer and husband Jeffrey; sister, Belinda Furrer and husband Doug; brother, Dorsey Baskin, Jr. and wife Cynthia; step-brother, Keith Pedersen and wife Rukiye; mother-in-law, Lucille Chestnut; brother-in-law James C. Chestnut and wife Robin; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
