Julia Hudek

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Julia (Julie) Hudek. Julie passed away peacefully at 3:24 AM, September 1, 2020 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas with her daughter, Bonnie, by her side. Julie lived in Katy, Texas and was a member of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church as well as their seniors' group, St. Bart's Happy Hearts.

Julie was born in Russellton, Pennsylvania and moved to Texas with her husband, Rudy, in 1984. Texas gave her the opportunity to enjoy seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. Julie's hobbies included spending time with all of her friends, family and her dog Buddy Boy. She enjoyed playing dominos at the Senior Center in Katy and Friday night Bingo at St. Bart's.

She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony (Pup) and Anna (Gram) Gedraitis, her daughter-in-law, Pam Hudek, as well as her husband of nearly 59 years, Rudy, who passed away on September 4, 2008. Julie also joined her brothers Abe Gedraitis, Joe Gedraitis and Ed Young along with her sister Ann Kristofik in eternal rest.

Julie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Bonnie Krahe (Jack), son David Hudek, grandson Shawn Krahe (Brooke), granddaughter Lindsey Woodard (Chris) and numerous nieces and nephews. Julie also leaves behind the light of her last five years, her great-grandchildren;

great-grandson Jase Krahe and great-granddaughters Hayden, Hunter and Dylan Woodard.

Julie's family would like to acknowledge the special bond she shared with her nieces, Cyndee Kulikowski and Barbie Fall, and her dear friends Betty Fitzgerald, Theresa Kilman, and Debbie and Daniel Welsh.
