Julia (Judy) Dierker passed from this physical world into her eternal home on December 15. She departed peacefully, shrouded in the love and prayer of her family. Judy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry, along with her children, Julia and Ryan, and her grandchildren, Dierk, Finn, and Bram. Born and raised in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Judy's indiscriminate compassion and acceptance foretold a life of service to others. She graduated from Cahoma County High School where she was an excellent student and tenacious defender on the basketball court. She received a Bachelors Degree in education from Delta State University and a Masters Degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Geneva Parrott Campbell, her father Prentiss Crisler Campbell and her mother Mildred Lane Underhill Campbell, as well as her best friend throughout her life, Uncle George Campbell. Judy led a full life, physically as an avid jogger and racquetball player, at home in tireless devotion to her family and spiritually through many Christian churches, education and outreach programs. Judy was always a friend of the least, the lost, and the last. To honor her compassionate spirit, the family requests that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Judy's name be directed to Best Friends Animal Society or Homeboy Industries. A tribute to Judy's life will be held at The Foundry Church at 1 PM on Friday, December 22.?
