Juli Ann Davies Mayfield passed peacefully with her husband by her side on September 28, 2023. Juli was born in Fort Worth, TX on May 9, 1945 to John Henry Davies and Jerry Rutledge Davies.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Mayfield; sons Jason Mayfield and Corey Mayfield; daughters in law Pamela Mayfield and Kimberly Mayfield; and grandchildren Chase, Riley, Lauren, Cole, Knox, Katelyn, and Fletcher, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by sisters Jaqueline Causey, Jennifer Neffendorf, Jan Roper, and brother John Davies Jr.

Juli graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington and was named a Distinguished Alumnus in 2003.  She was passionate about education and devoted her life to teaching at all levels.

A memorial service will be held for Juli on October 14 at 4:00 PM at Good Shepherd Church, 20155 Cypresswood Drive in Cypress, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Cy Hope or Boys and Girls Country.
