Judy Karen (Schaffner) Tucker was born in Chicago, IL November 18, 1951 to Bernard Philip and Frances  Elizabeth Schaffner.  Judy is survived by her husband of 19 years David Tucker, step daughters Heather Coble and Michelle Tucker, brothers Jeffrey Schoeffner and Steven Schaffner, and sisters Suzanne Aukeman and Trudi Voss along with numerous nieces and nephews and countless beloved friends.  After graduating from Main West High School, Judy spent some time working for the police chief of a small suburb near Chicago and lived and worked in St. Thomas, USVI for a short time.  These are two of the many adventures Judy often talked about.  She loved sharing stories about her family and friends as she was growing up and through the years.

Judy had a zest for life few people are ever blessed to have.  She took whatever life gave her and did it with a smile.  For Judy nothing was more important than family, friends, and animals.  She would do anything for family without hesitation and often did.  She will always have a deep love for her brothers and sisters. She never knew a stranger for more than five minutes because after five minutes she knew their name and what was going on in their life.  She was so generous she would literally give a stranger her sweater, her coat or whatever she had.  Judy would see someone hungry on the street and stop to ask what they wanted to eat and then go get it for them.  Once Judy was your friend she was a friend for life.

Judy's love of animals knows no bounds.  She was always bringing home a stray dog or cat and swearing she would find a home for them.  And then did.   Two of the greatest loves of Judy's life were her miniature schnauzer Mitzie and miniature french poodle Lady.  She loved and cared for those two until the end of their days.  And they loved and cared for Judy.  Judy often said when she went to heaven she wanted her job to be taking care of the dogs.  My God grant her this wish.

There is so much more that could be said about Judy but she is best described as the most amazing person anyone could ever know.  Judy will be loved and missed by so many people.  May God receive Judy with grace and comfort those who will miss her forever.
