Judith Smith, age 81, of Cypress (formerly of Tennessee) joined Our Lord in Paradise on April 27, 2019.  Her husband, Gerald, who was her primary caregiver, was with her at her bedside.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Frances Scherrer.

Judith is also survived by a son and his wife, Stephen and Ana Smith, a daughter, Susan Kenzie, and her youngest daughter and her husband, Judith and Robert Cardin.  She is survived by eight grandchildren: Jeremy, Amelia, Ana Sofia, Jessica, Jon, Nickolaus, David and Amy.  She is further survived by her brother and his wife, Donald and Joan Scherrer.

Judith conducted her life with decency, common sense, humor and happiness.  Despite her healthcare challenges, she never complained and always wore a smile.  She was an amazing wife and mother who enriched and brought love to everyone's life she touched.

A memorial service will be held at a future date in her special resting place in Tennessee near the lakes that she and Gerald so love.

Her family wishes to thank all the gentle medical, dental and healthcare professionals, along with her caregivers, whose kindness, efficiency, and steadfast friendship helped sustain her during her long fight with multiple sclerosis.
