Judith "Judy" H. Driskill (nee Sheppard), 77, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Sunday June 2, 2024. A loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Judy was known for her caring and independent nature. She always put others first and cherished her family and friends deeply.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Lynwood M. Driskill; her son Matthew H. Driskill and wife Gabriela and their daughters Ana and Maya of Bedford, Texas; son Jeffrey L. Driskill and wife Melissa and their sons Jackson and Hudson of Spring, Texas; sister, Thea Gegenheimer and husband Fred of Covington, Louisiana along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Judy is predeceased by her parents James H. Sheppard of Waveland, Mississippi and Dorothea Sheppard of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Judy graduated in 1964 from Alcee Fortier High school in New Orleans, Louisiana. After high school Judy attended Charity Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and graduated in 1966. Judy went on to work for Dr. Philip Meyer who was a staff Radiologist at Charity Hospital and officed out of Suburban Medical Plaza in Metairie, Louisiana. Judy took time off from working to raise her two sons but in 1991 went back to work in radiology as a Radiology Supervisor at Texas Tower Imaging at Houston Northwest Hospital for 13 years.
Judy found joy in bird watching, gardening native Texas flowers, painting, rose rustling, cooking and baking, vacationing in Port Aransas, spending winters in Colorado, attending Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, visiting family in South Louisiana and most of all spending time with her beloved grandchildren at their various activities and having them spend the night always.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 6 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Klein Funeral Home-Champions, 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, TX 77379.
Judy's kind spirit and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
