Juanita Delarosa Martinez Benson, aged 71, passed away unexpectedly on June 16th, 2024 in Houston, TX. She was born on November 17, 1952, in Stafford, TX, to Luis and Olivia Martinez. She met the love of her life, Henry Benson, while serving in the Air Force and they were married on February 02, 1973. The happy couple welcomed daughter, Traci Lynn Benson, on August 11, 1974, followed by their youngest daughter, Toni Michelle Benson-Atkinson, on November 11, 1977. After her military service, in addition to being a loving stay at home wife/mother, Juanita also served as a bus driver for Stafford Spring School District in Stafford Springs, CT. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter were Juanita's biggest passion.

She is preceded in death by both her parents and her loving husband as well as her sister, Josephine Martinez and brother, Francisco Martinez.

She is survived by her siblings- Brothers- Luis Martinez Jr. of Pasadena, TX, Richard(Angela) De La Rosa of Richmond, TX, Raymond(Lora) Martinez of Corpus Christi, TX, Luciano(Isabel) Martinez of Flatonia, TX and Theodore Martinez of Denver, CO. Sisters- Isabel Martinez of Flatonia, TX ,Margaret Medina of Corpus Christi, TX, and Frances Jalomo of Missouri City, TX. and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is also survived by her daughters and beloved grandchildren- Averie Petry(granddaughter), Marian Petry(grandson), Jalen Woods(grandson), Henry Atkinson(grandson), Sean Atkinson(grandson), Taniyah Swain(granddaughter), and Zaire Swain(grandson)and great granddaughter Camryn Brown.

A time of visitation will be held from 9 to 10 am on Friday June 28, 2024 with the funeral service to begin at 10 am at the Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest.  Burial will be held at 12:30 pm at the Houston National Cemetery.
