Juanita Gallatin, 105, of Tyler, Texas, passed away December 21st, 2023. Juanita was born March 14th, 1918, in Houston, Texas to the late Charles W. Bush and Garrette (Callahan) Bush.
Juanita enjoyed being a owner/hairdresser for over 50 yrs in the Cypress-Houston area. Her hobbies were giving to family and friends and enjoyed giving parties, especially at the holidays.
She was a member of NW Baptist Church for over 34 years. She would tell you she was a Christian a lot longer than a member. She loved to sing. She loved praising the Lord for the many blessings he bestowed on her and her love ones during her life time. She believed in prayer; it was life's blood for her. And, that is how she lived her whole life, praising and praying to her Lord and Savior.
Juanita is survived by her son, Donald W. (Reba) Gallatin, daughter, Charlette (Aubrey) Manuel DuBose, daughter, Juanita M. (Michael) Chambers; 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren.
Including her parents Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Oswald Gallatin Sr., 3 children, Charles Richard Gallatin, John Robert Gallatin, Benny Gallatin Jr; 3 great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, December 29th, 2023 at 2 PM at Roberts Cemetery, with REV. Donald Gallatin officiating.
Instead of flowers, please give to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
