Juan Guillermo Restrepo of Richmond, TX passed away October 12, 2021 at the age of 53.
Juan was born to Francisco and Marina Restrepo May 15, 1968 in Medellin, Colombia. He left Colombia in 1982 for New York City, where he joined his father. Soon after, they settled in Houston, Texas, reuniting with his mother and two sisters.
Juan or John, as many knew him by, had a passion for sound. From DJing in his young years to setting up his own home sound system and creating his own audio/video business. He worked hard for his family. He loved listening to music and watching movies; it is how he bonded with people. He was a jokester and you knew he cared about you if he picked on you. He also loved cooking amazing food for everyone. He enjoyed the great outdoors and loved camping. Some called him the dog whisperer because of his affinity for dogs: he loved them as much as they loved him. Most of all he loved his family.
He is preceded by his parents Francisco and Marina Restrepo, and leaves behind his life partner Debbie Morales, two children Emylee and Gabriel Restrepo, his dogs, Maggie, Chubs and Lola, his sisters Maria Barber and Luz Darst, and niece and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday October 26, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 28102 F.M. 1093, Fulshear, Texas 77441.
