Obituary

Joy Mae (Morgan) Rozas, 80, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away July 9th, 2023. Joye was born July 15th, 1942, in Shongaloo, Louisana to the late Fulton Morgan and Ever (Perkins) Morgan.

On June 26, 1964 she married the love of her life, LeRogers J. Rozas.

Joye went to Northwestern State University – Natchitoches, Louisiana where she received her Bachelor of Nursing.  She spent 31 years at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas as the youngest and longest tenured head nurse in MD Anderson's history.

Joye was a member of Magnolia's First Baptist Church for 45 years.

Joye is survived by her husband, LeRogers J. Rozas; son, Dorian (Mechiel) Rozas, daughter Regina (Mitchell) Stringer; grandson, PJ Rozas, grandson, David Stringer, granddaughter, Ashley Stringer; and great grandson Malachi Franco.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kris Rozas, brother, Byron Morgan and sister, Nettie Rose Hanson.

The family will receive visitors Friday, July 14th, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main Street Tomball, Texas 77375.  Visitation at Magnolia First Baptist on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00AM.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Magnolia First Baptist Church, 18525 FM 1488 Magnolia, Texas 77354, with Pastor Milt Eichler officiating.  Fellowship & light lunch immediately following service.  Interment to follow in Houston National Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are NAMES;  Paul Meachum (Nephew), Craig Meachum (Nephew), Nathan Hoyt (Nephew), Dean Hoyt (Nephew), Josh Hanson (Great Nephew), Jonathan Rozas (Nephew), PJ Rozas (Grandson)
